Posts from Access to knowledge panel

The previous posts show how one-sided this group is within the debate.
There are no representatives from the relevant business community. It is crucial for civil society and business to talk to each other for ultimate success, it would seem.
There should be discourse, not singing to the choir.

I am wondering if you can clarify what you are suggesting. Most of the existing movements, including Creative Commons, come out of a mixed sector approach. Whether it is FLOSS, Open Access, Creative Commons or other such tools to support a full spectrum of creation, distribution and funding for creativity, they all address issues across all sectors.

On the other hand, the legacy corporate created, broadcast/retail distributed, post-payment-per-copy (royalty) methods tend to address only a very small subset of private sector needs at the expense of the majority of the private sector and the needs of other sectors.
